After announcing the Moto Z2 Play last month it is easy to anticipate that it’s more powerful sibling is also on its way soon. The Motorola Z2 Force will be available on August 10 with dual cameras, flagship specs, and this phone is modular as ever.
The specification is just like how you would expect from a high-end flagship phone this year.
*4GB RAM (US) / 6GB of RAM (Everywhere else)
*5.5-inch QHD display
*Shattershield screen (scratches easily, but is pretty much unbreakable)
*2730 mAh battery
*64 GB / 128 GB (China) of storage
*Dual Rear 12MP cameras (color/monochrome)
*TurboPower Quick charging
I am so glad to see that Motorola hasn’t given up on the modular design, besides there will be more Mods for this soon I hope. Hopefully, this new device will be compatible with all the existing Mods out there. The Snapdragon 835 with the near stock Android will also feature great experience too.
Some specs on the list may raise your eyebrows as you may have noticed there is no middle ground Moto Z2 this year – there will be just the Play and The Force only. Unfortunately, the battery capacity of the new Z2 Force will not be 3500 mAh because they opted for a more thinner body than the previous model.
Though the power optimizations were very much impressive with the last year’s Moto Z which had only 2600 mAh battery on a less efficient chip. The Z Force was thin enough and you can always add a Mod on it of course. I am a big fan of dual camera system but I would like to have a telephoto or wide angle option but maybe Motorola has good tricks up its sleeve with their monochrome sensor.
